Visit Data Collected
This site records a small set of visit details through a first-party visit beacon sent to an edge analytics endpoint on the same domain. When a visitor arrives from a search engine, that beacon carries the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of a clicked outbound button. This information is used only to count page views and clicks on outbound buttons, and for no other purpose. The edge analytics endpoint is part of the same static hosting setup, not a separate outside service.
Cookie And Session Flag
- One first-party cookie is set only when a visit arrives from a search engine. It holds nothing but the name of that search engine, lasts up to one hour, and is used to tell which search engine a later click on an outbound link came from.
- A session view flag is kept in the browser for the current visit only, so that a single page view is counted once. It does not persist beyond the session.
